We’re looking for our first dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our Technology team, someone who enjoys working with on release management, live operations, monitoring and DevOps development strategy. You will help us shape the future of our operations and help us better handle the millions of subscribers we already support. Limio is an early-stage startup founded by Amaury de Closset and Daniel Morton, formerly of GoCardless (YC S11), Zuora, BCG and Three, and has raised $420,000 from fifteen fantastic entrepreneurs, including the founders of Gumtree, Entrepreneur First and Blaize, and top business angels from Episode 1 and Crane VC. We count the Economist, La Repubblica and Coalfire as customers. The Role We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will help drive our DevOps practices and make sure that Limio has a high quality bar for DevOps. You enjoy working with developers and technical leads to find quality solutions to complex technical problems and you want to be the trusted owner of DevOps. You will become an expert on our AWS setup and help us implement robust, scalable, and efficient best practices. Here are some of the responsibilities you might work on: - Release management: Manage, improve and maintain our release processes, including environment creation and releases using Terraform and Git - Live operations: Help in support requests when operational activities and debugging logs are needed to identify root causes and support incident response or post-mortem investigations. - Improvements strategy: Improve Limio’s CI/CD pipeline, collaborate on architectural improvements with tech leads to provide the DevOps perspective, and work with the development team to put them in place. - Monitoring: Put in place meaningful monitoring on relevant metrics, so that Limio monitors uptime more closely and our customers have more visibility into key metrics. - Cost: Keep an eye on AWS costs, suggest and implement best practices to reduce costs, and monitor any unusual spikes or activity. You should apply if - You have at least 1 year experience with core AWS Services, ideally DynamoDB, Lambda, Cloudwatch, API Gateway, EC2 and S3 - You have defined or have a close understanding of SaaS release processes and git branching strategies, both for internal development and external releases - You have experience building with Terraform (or another Infrastructure-as-Code service) - You have defined or have a close understanding of monitoring tools - You communicate clearly and succinctly, both orally and in written format. - You have a positive outlook, have a can-do, hands-on approach to issues, and enjoy getting things done and shipped. - You always strive to best the best version of yourself, and can demonstrate an appetite for self-improvement. - You learn best by doing and can demonstrate the ability to learn independently. Not essential, but nice to have: - You have experience working with a multi-tenant SaaS product. - You have experience with AWS Cognito, Athena, Cloudfront, CodeCommit and CodeBuilt - You have experience with ElasticSearch Logistics Compensation is £60k to £90k depending on your experience and location. We strongly believe in shared success and you will receive a competitive stock option grant. We offer flexible working hours, 25-days + bank holidays vacation policy, the latest equipment (Macbook Pro, Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard), cycle home scheme, regular social events, and pension plan. Our interview process consists of an initial phone screen, a test depending on your experience level, and a couple of hours remote or in-person interview. You will work partly from home and partly from our London office in Bermondsey, a 5-minute walk from the London Bridge station.
